Ph.D. (Health Science)

To produce Doctor of Philosophy graduates who have knowledge and abilities as the following :

  • Having moral and ethical to constantly put their best efforts for the benefits of society and country.
  • Having knowledge, ability and skill in health science both theoretically and practically, being able to conduct research studies and utilize new and useful knowledge in health and health science at an international level, as well as being able to creatively construct and look for new knowledge.
  • Having ability to critically analyze data in a constructive way, create valuable research in health science, develop innovation, manage and utilize technology, as well as corporate networking to help solving solutions and alleviation of health problems of the population and health care system development to promote people’s health and quality of life and to facilitate socio and economic growth nationally and internationally in a sufficient and sustainable way.
  • Having human relationship skill, being able to work harmonizely with other people, and having responsibility for assigned works.
  • Having ability and skill in numeral analysis, systematically problems solving, well application of communication and information technology.
  1. Eligible applicants for the program Type 1.2 and Type 2.2

1.1 Applicants must graduate with a Bachelor degree in health science or related fields such as public health, nursing,pharmacy, associated medical sciences, dentistry, medicine, and others from an education institution approved by the MUA

1.2 Applicants must succeed first class honor or a GPA of at least 3.75 or having research experience.

    1.3 Applicants must have at least two research articles published in the international database and peer-reviewed journal after bachelor degree graduation.

    1.4Applicants must submit research proposal which is consistent of objective of their major and accepted by the Curriculum Administrative Committee or Proposal Committee of the Faculty.

    1. Program Type 1.1 and Type 2.1

    2.1 Applicants who graduated with a Master degree in health science or related fields from an education institution approved by the MUA

    2.2 Applicants must succeed first class honor or have a GPA of at least 3.75 or have research experience.

    2.3 Applicants must have at least two research articles published in standard database and peer-reviewed journal or one of which is a patent innovation after Master or Bachelor degree graduations.

    2.4 Applicant must submit research proposal in consistent with objective of his/her major and it is to be accepted by the Curriculum Administrative Committee.

    1. Applicants must fulfill qualification according to the regulations of the University regarding Graduate Education 2017, Group 4, Article 18 (document is attached in appendix B)
    2. Applicants who do not meet items (1)-(3) requirement may be admitted to the program according to the curriculum Administrative Committee’s decision and approval.
    3. Applicants must have good English skill, be able to communicate, and have a good score from a Standard English Test, for example obtaining TOEFL score of at least 500 or IELTS of at least 5.0 or pass an English Test as approved by the Faculty Graduate Study Committee.


    Entrance by written and/or oral examinations is organized by the Curriculum Administrative Committee. The other conditions are in accordance with the regulations of the University regarding the Graduate Education .

      * Students in type 1.1 and 1.2 programs must enroll three credits of the seminar in health science research. Students in all program types might take additional subject(s) from the major course category by auditing based on suggestions advisors under the approval of the Curriculum Administrative Committee.
